The area has a temperate climate, with warm summers and cold winters.
The Municipality is rich in vegetation and filled with large woodland areas. The lush forests include pine, fir, spruce, chestnut, and birch trees. There are also mushroom fields throughout the municipality.
The region has mineral deposits including in lime, tutsan, milfoil, marjoram, Tussilago farfara, thyme and sumac.
